Who runs this site

SASA (the South Asian Student Association) is a student-led club at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota. This website is run by students in the club. It is not an official website of Eastview High School or Independent School District 196, and nothing here speaks for the school or the district.

What this site is for

This site shares information about our club, our meetings, and festivals from South Asia. It's free to use for learning and for finding out what SASA is doing.

Accuracy

We work hard to get things right, and we list the sources we used on each festival page. But we're students, and mistakes can happen. Festival dates can change by a day or more depending on the moon, the region, or what a community decides. Customs also differ from family to family. Please don't rely on this site for anything important, like travel plans or religious dates, without checking an official source.

Meeting times and rooms can change. We post every change on Instagram at @evhs.sasa first.

If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we'll fix it.

Respect

SASA is for everyone, and this site is meant to celebrate many cultures and faiths. Don't use anything from this site to mock, harass, or put down anyone.

Things you shouldn't do

Please don't:

• try to break, overload, or hack the site
• use bots or scripts to spam the Diwali lamp counter
• copy the site and pretend it's yours or that it's an official school site

Who owns what

The writing, design, and artwork on this site were made by SASA. You're welcome to share links to any page, and teachers and students can use the festival information for school. Please give SASA credit. The SASA name and marigold logo belong to the club. Facts we got from other sources belong to those sources, and we link to them on each page.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites, like Instagram and our festival sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.

No guarantees

This site is provided as it is, for free. We don't promise it will always be online, free of errors, or work on every device. To the extent the law allows, SASA and its members aren't responsible for any loss or problem that comes from using the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, it means you accept the new terms. These terms follow the laws of Minnesota.
