Accessibility
Last updated October 22, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, or other tools. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
Here are some of the things we built in:
- Every page works with just a keyboard, and there's a visible outline on whatever you've selected.
- A Skip to content link at the top of every page jumps past the menu.
- Text and buttons have strong color contrast, checked against WCAG AA.
- Pages use real headings, labels, and links, so screen readers can make sense of them.
- Everything on the 3D maps can also be reached as a normal list of links, so you don't need to see or click the map to use it.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off the moving and scroll animations.
- On computers that can't run 3D graphics, the site shows simple flat versions with the same links instead.
- The site works on phones, tablets, and school Chromebooks.
- The site doesn't play any sound.
Known limits
The 3D scenes at the top of each festival page are decoration. All of the information in them is also written out on the page.
Some of our festival sources are other websites, and we can't control how accessible they are.
We tested this site with automated checks and by hand, but we're students and we might have missed something.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, please let us know. Tell us which page it was and what happened, and we'll try to fix it quickly. We can also give you the information in another way.
Send us a direct message on Instagram at @evhs.sasa, or talk to a board member at a meeting in Room C330. If you are a parent or teacher and want to reach the club's supervisor, ask at Eastview's main office.
